Borrow a Mobile Hotspot

You can borrow a hotspot for 2 weeks.

Any Sarasota County Library location. Search for it here in the library catalog. 

Yes, we encourage you to place a hold due to the high demand.

You will have 3 days to pick up your hotspot once it has arrived to your library's hold shelf. After that it moves one to the next person on hold.

The Wifi hotspot kit includes the device, power cord, adapter, and the Quick Start Guide.

Power - Hold power key for 3 sec to turn on/off. If device does not turn on, charge the battery.

SSID (name of network) - From your computer or mobile device search for available networks and select SRQLibrariesHotspot.

Security Key - the key or password is indicated on the device's screen. Enter in exactly as shown.

Patrons 18 and older. Reciprocal patrons are not included.

Coverage not guaranteed and network experience may vary by area. For more detailed information visit the Sprint Coverage Map. (Please select your device for the most accurate coverage information). Devices provided by the library are the coolpad Surf and alacatel's LinkZone 2.

While we do not charge overdue fines, please note that a replacement charge will be added to your library account if it remains overdue for 7 days.
